The existence of oil resources, natural gas and mineral in Iran and Investment taking place in the industries ,cause availability of most of raw materials in Iran , therefore  downstream industries are able to prepare these materials into the country easily. In recent years, industries of oil & gas, petrochemical, mining, cement, power, agriculture are leading export. According to experienced specialists in the industry, Iran is one of the Engineering Services Exporters and manufacturers of equipment in these industries also. In the automotive industry, electronics, appliances and food industry has been growing significantly and exports in these industries are increasing. Since Iranian industries are inter-oriented most of parts of these products are also domestically made.

Industrial estates (parks) across Iran with Special Features those are available to investors. The Investors can use of cheap labor and expert and raw materials available in mainland or free zone or border regions.

Despite the production of raw materials in the interior some industries such as textiles, leather, construction, agriculture and packaging have weaknesses and need to have new technologies to increase their productivity.

According to a report, ranks Iran 3rd among “emerging industrial powers” in the world (after China and India) in terms of its industrial growth.  Iran’s industrial sector grew by 4% in the year 2009 and Iran is ranked 31st in the world in terms of its industrial production growth rate.

The government of Iran has plans for the establishment of 50-60 industrial estates (parks) by the end of the fifth Five-Year Socioeconomic Development Plan by 2015. Iranian contractors have been awarded several foreign tender contracts in different fields of construction of dams, bridges, roads, buildings, railroads, power generation, and gas, oil and petrochemical industries. As of 2011, some 66 Iranian industrial companies are carrying out projects in 27 countries. Iran has exported over $20 billion worth of technical and engineering services over 2001-2011.
